gnocchi
Gnocchi are thick, soft dumplings and are eaten as entrees (primi piatti), alternatives to soups or pasta. Classic accompaniments of gnocchi include tomato sauces, pesto, and melted butter (sometimes fried butter) with cheese. Phil's favourite is to boil the gnocchi and then pan fry them in butter - delicious tossed through your favourite sauce.
